The Renewal by Andersen double-hung window consists of two operable sashes that slide up and down independently for ventilation. Double-hung windows are traditional in style and are the perfect choice for traditional styled homes, condominium projects, and restoration projects. The double-hung window can be used singly, in rows or pairs, or combined with picture windows to create a custom look to complement your home. Double-hung windows are suitable in areas facing walkways, decks, or other high traffic areas because the sashes do not project to the exterior. Double-hung windows are not recommended over counters, cabinets, sinks, or other obstructed areas - sliding up and down operation may be difficult or uncomfortable.
